John Robert Dixon graduated from Florida State University with a degree in English. While at Florida State, John wrote fiction and poetry and also wrote for The Florida Flambeau, the school newspaper. After that, his fiction writing career was waylaid by the practice of law. While in law school he served as an Associate Editor on the Florida State University Law Review and his article, Warrantless Aerial Surveillance and the Open View Doctrine was chosen as the best student Note. John has practiced law since 1992 but now writes full-time. John is married and lives in Tampa, Florida with his wife, their two daughters and their golden retriever, Ginny.
